Obama US Attorney Admits To Document Leak To Diminish Fast and Furious Whistleblower
Just a day after Attorney General Eric Holder refused to apologize for the deadly Fast and Furious operation, former Arizona US Attorney Dennis Burke is now admitting it was he who leaked a memo intended to smear Fast and Furious whistleblower and ATF agent John Dodson.
Republican Senator Chuck Grassley repeatedly questioned Holder on the memo – a clear indication Republicans were already aware of the implications of the leak.
The subject of the memo was discussed at yesterday’s Fast and Furious Senate Hearing – though Attorney General Eric Holder refused to answer any questions pertaining to its existence or the intent of the leak.
What is less clear now is what Republicans intend to do leading up to the next Congressional hearing on Fast and Furious scheduled for next month. D.C. insiders are voicing the possibility that it will be that hearing which will show to date the most aggression coming from Republicans against Attorney General Holder regarding the failed and deadly operation – as well as possible proof of a cover-up following the death of slain border agent Brian Terry. Whether or not a Democrat or two joins the already growing numbers of Republicans calling for Holder’s resignation remains to be seen.
As for the Obama White House and its response to both Holder’s testimony yesterday and the admission today by one of its former U.S. Attorneys that they attempted to punish a Fast and Furious whistleblower?
That would be yet another “no comment” from Obama Inc…
