CBS News Poll: Majority of Americans Want Obama To Get The Hell Out
A just-released CBS News poll shows a growing majority of Americans now admitting Barack Obama has no business serving a second term as President of the United States.
For the Obama White House, the numbers have to be troubling. After months of attempting to foment division and anger among voters against the Republican Party with class and race-based political warfare, it appears those efforts have done little more than further solidified the opposition to the Obama presidency. 54% of Americans are now indicating President Obama does not deserve a second term. Remember – this number is an average among all voters – Democrats included. Among independents an even higher percentage indicated Barack Obama should be a one-termer. With a voting base shrinking to just hardcore far-left Democrats who would gladly vote in Fidel Castro or Hugo Chavez over any GOP candidate, Barack Obama’s chances of securing victory in 2012 grows increasingly difficult.
The president receives his lowest marks for his handling of the economy – an abysmal 33 percent, among the lowest approval ratings in that category among modern presidents. Another low mark for Mr. Obama is the view of nearly half of Americans believing the president is a divider not a uniter – a stark contrast to what Barack Obama had promised voters in 2008.
The only category that President Obama garners some measure of supportive respectability is his handling of terrorism – with 57% approval. That number is a clear reflection of the Osama Bin Laden kill operation – an operation that some have indicated Barack Obama actually had very little to do with: Obama Hesitated – Panetta Issued Order To Kill Bin Laden
At this point, Barack Obama’s strategy is to once again attempt to reinvent himself, or go all-in on his campaign of class and race division as a means of getting re-elected in 2012. Based upon his anti-free market tax and spend speech of last week, it appears likely the campaign has already determined further class warfare and race-card politics will rule the day…
