Republican Leaders Boehner and Cantor Ignore Calls for Eric Holder’s Resignation
Despite hundreds dead and nearly half of the entire GOP caucus either indicating no confidence in or calling for the resignation of Obama Attorney General Eric Holder, two of the most powerful Republican politicians in Washington DC are purposely avoiding any response on the matter. Why?
According to a recent Daily Caller report, repeated requests to get an indication from both House Speaker John Boehner and Majority Leader Eric Cantor has met with refusal to even acknowledge the looming issue that is Eric Holder’s position within the Obama administration following the disastrous Fast and Furious gunrunning operation that has left hundreds dead and a growing number of Americans demanding answers. No such answers will be coming any time soon from Boehner and Cantor it would seem:
During a House GOP retreat in Baltimore on Friday, press secretaries for Speaker of the House John Boehner and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor balked when asked if their bosses believe Attorney General Eric Holder should resign over Operation Fast and Furious.
Why the two most prominent and powerful Republicans in the House of Representatives are saying so little would indicate that issue either has little merit to them – or perhaps, something very significant is about to develop regarding Mr. Holder’s current status as the nation’s Attorney General and neither man wishes to giving any appearance of undue influence over that outcome.
