WHAT IF: Obama deems there is NO actionable intelligence on a planned attack in the US?

October 10, 2012

WHAT THEN?

Do we just chalk up Obama’s negligence to “poor judgement” on his part? WHAT IF- Major cites: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver, Dallas and Orlando are HIT simultaneously in a well planned Terror Attack similar to Benghazi?

Obama has a history of poor decision making. His debate performance a few weeks ago can attest to that- Can we really afford taking another chance on Obama for the next four years? I VOTE NO.. He is TOO great a RISK to the Safety and Welfare of Americans. A Risk America CANNOT AFFORD to take. The proof lies squarely in our faces. Four Americans DEAD in Benghazi. Victims of Obama’s POOR Judgment.

This video below has the questions YOU may think too incredulous to ASK:

“US  ‘had no warning’ of attack on Benghazi consulate.”

The US consulate in flames in Benghazi, Libya 11 September 2011. The Obama administration now describes the incident in Benghazi as a terrorist attack.

The US Department of State has said it had no “actionable intelligence” about plans for last month’s deadly attack on the American consulate in Libya.

The 11 September Benghazi assault, in which the ambassador and three others died, was unprecedented in recent diplomatic history, officials added.

The incident is politically sensitive, just weeks ahead of the US elections.

State department officials are due to testify before Congress on Wednesday about their handling of the attack.

The BBC’s Kim Ghattas in Washington says the detailed briefing appears to be an effort to preempt criticism the agency is expected to face from the panel.

The hearing is part of an investigation into the security situation in Benghazi leading up to the attack and is the first public inquiry on Capitol Hill into what went wrong.

The state department has launched its own internal review of events.

‘Security requests denied’

Obama’s ambassador to the United Nations, Susan Rice, initially described the attack as a “spontaneous” one that arose out of a protest against an inflammatory anti-Islam film.

But in Tuesday’s briefing, unnamed officials from the state department said it had never concluded that the sacking of the mission was motivated by the US-made video ridiculing Muslims.

“That was not our conclusion,” an official said.

They said it was instead a co-ordinated assault involving several groups of men armed with machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades over an expanse of more than a mile.

“There was no actionable intelligence of any planned or imminent attack,” a top state department official said.

The official also told reporters: “It would be very, very hard to find a precedent for an attack like that in recent diplomatic history.”

In addition to two state department officials scheduled to give evidence on Wednesday, two security officers who were posted in Libya until recently are also expected to testify.

They have both said the Department of State denied requests for extra security.

One officer, Eric Nordstrom, has said in a document to the congressional committee that a state department official, Charlene Lamb, had wanted to keep the security presence in Benghazi “artificially low”.

Both are due to appear {today} on Wednesday before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

State department official Patrick Kennedy and Lt Col Andrew Wood, who was in charge of a security support team at the US embassy in Tripoli, will also give evidence.

As the 6 November presidential election looms, Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney has used the Libyan attack to criticize President Barack Obama. {TG}

In a speech on Monday, Mr Romney called the Benghazi incident an example of the Democratic president’s foreign policy weakness.

The Obama administration has said it provided its best intelligence on the attack, and amended that explanation as further information emerged.

Ambassador Christopher Stevens died of smoke inhalation when he was trapped alone in the burning consulate building. Three other officials were killed, and three wounded.

Someone Has Finally Thrown Obama Under The Bus And Her Name Is Hillary Clinton

What other conclusions can one draw from this from the AP?

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama at the WH Service for Americans Killed in Benghazi

WASHINGTON — The State Department said Tuesday it never concluded that the consulate attack in Libya stemmed from protests over an American-made video ridiculing Islam, raising further questions about why the Obama administration used that explanation for more than a week after assailants killed the U.S. ambassador and three other Americans.

The revelation came as new documents suggested internal disagreement over appropriate levels of security before the attack, which occurred on the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks on the U.S.

Briefing reporters ahead of a hotly anticipated congressional hearing Wednesday, State Department officials provided their most detailed rundown of how a peaceful day in Benghazi devolved into a sustained attack that involved multiple groups of men armed with weapons such as machine guns, rocket-propelled grenades and mortars over an expanse of more than a mile.

But asked about the administration’s initial — and since retracted — explanation linking the violence to protests over an anti-Muslim video circulating on the Internet, one official said, “That was not our conclusion.” He called it a question for “others” to answer, without specifying. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to speak publicly on the matter, and provided no evidence that might suggest a case of spontaneous violence or angry protests that went too far.

Just as a reminder the Obama administration couldn’t get its story squared with the facts for well over a week. The Heritage Foundation put out this helpful video essay of the administration’s cover up on the assassination of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012.

Well, I read the admin’s comment about the murders in Libya, and how people are trying to conflate Egypt’s situation at that time with what happened on 9/11 in Libya. The Obama administration is taking some heat on this which is good because it is deserved, but I am having my doubts about Hillary’s role in all this. I base my feelings on her initial public response. She did blame the video if I recall while expressing her bewilderment as to how something like this could have happened considering the USA helped free Libya. To me at the time, I remember thinking that what she said
was lame considering the realities on the ground in Libya where stability was lacking as a whole. My question at the time was how could our government be so naive to think that all Libyans loved is for being there. Security in an such an unstable place should have been a no-brainer even if it wasn’t September 11th. The so-called consolate was basically a gated villa that was not the norm for a secured government compound like an embassy. To have just one actual person guarding Ambassador Stevens and the compound is outrageous! I am sorry, but Hillary as SOS is partly responsible for
how the US was operating in Libya. This is what I has dreaded back in 2008 when she decided to work for Obama. Some of his stench has now rubbed off on her which is something that should have been anticipated. Perhaps the Clintons were a little too smart for their own good. Hillary could have done 1000’s of things right as SOS, but all it takes is one event that wreaks of ineptness and cover-up for her reputation to be tarnished. No amount of passing blame, even if Obama instructed her on how the security situation in Libya should be handled, and she did what she was told to do, can keep Hillary from being implicated in this scandal. She will bear some of the blame along with Obama. How unfortunate for her.

I also wanted to write that I am not fretting over having a Republican as president, and a possible Republican controlled Congress. Why should I? The DemocRats are a party that I can no longer support in their current insane state. Good memories of past democratic administrations (basically for me Bill Clinton’s administration) do not make up for the horror of current Democratic party extreme leftwing activism. I rebuke them for their folly. Something is rotten to the core in DC, and although the Republicans have their issues, the stench has been created by the Democrat party which under the leadership of President Obama seems intent on bringing America down. In my lifetime, no matter if I disagreed with Republican policy of the time, I never had the feeling that a Republican administration was aiming to weaken this country. It is not a part of who they are. As for the Democrats, there has always seemed to be a contingent, especially since the rebellious 60’s, that has revelled in slapping America down. I only have contempt for these people.

Masked gunmen kill U.S. embassy employee in Yemen..

Masked gunmen shot dead a Yemeni man on his way to work at the U.S. embassy in Sanaa on Thursday, a security source said, the latest in a wave of assassinations in the Arab state where Washington is battling al Qaeda militants.

The attackers on a motorcycle opened fire on a car carrying Qassem Aqlan – who headed an embassy security team – in the center of Yemen’s capital, the source told Reuters.

“This (assassination) operation has the fingerprints of al Qaeda which carried out similar operations before,” said the source who asked not to be named.

The Yemen-based al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula and other militant groups strengthened their grip on parts of the country during an uprising that ousted veteran President Ali Abdullah Saleh in February.

There have been a number of assassinations attempts, some of them successful, on security officials and politicians since Yemen’s army drove Islamist fighters out of several southern towns earlier this year.

Washington, wary of the growing power of al Qaeda, has stepped up drone strikes on suspected militant positions, with the backing of Saleh’s successor, President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

Men armed with machine guns and rockets attacked a security checkpoint in Yemen’s southern city of al-Dalea late on Wednesday, injuring two policemen, a local official said on Thursday.

The attackers, whose affiliation was not immediately clear, fled the scene, the official said.

Nancy Pelosi’s Husband Fails to Make Payroll for UFL Franchise:

Paul Pelosi, husband of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, is having trouble meeting payroll for his United Football League (UFL) franchise, and players on the team are quitting the team after not getting paid for the first two games of the season.
According to CBS 13 Sacramento, players on the Sacramento Mountain Lions, Pelosi’s franchise, Pelosi “issued the first payroll checks Tuesday, but for only $1,000.” But players are owed $3,500 per game.
“We had a meeting yesterday. We tried to hammer out a solution as far as the whole pay situation, things like that. We really didn’t get anything resolved,” one player who quit the team told CBS Sacramento. “I definitely feel like people know what’s going on.”
This is not the first time Pelosi has had trouble meeting payroll.
Last year, his then-head coach Dennis Green sued Pelosi because he was reportedly owed $1.5 million.
The UFL issued a statement about the late paychecks, saying, “We’re continuing to work toward a resolution of the situation.”

    …………………………..

My thoughts on Hillary- She knew what was going on as to the lack of security in Libya and did her best to advocate for Stevens sending him additional personnel but was stonewalled at every turn. I believe she would have approached Obama time and time again with the request and he assured her it would be taken care of. If you remember, the week before the attack, Obama never attended his morning Intel briefings. I believe Obama misled Hillary just as he misled the country claiming his attention was focused on the ham handed video producers and getting to those responsible for the video. At least that was the story told publicly.

I believe in the theory some have mentioned. Obama planned using Stevens as a prop in a staged kidnapping, (which I mentioned before on this blog) for his own political purposes giving his flailing campaign the boost needed bettering his chances for re-election.. He had the people in place who would execute the task and a plausible reason he ordered no one fire on the perpetrators because they were working for him. And the primary reason for Obama and/or Jarrett denying security be sent for protecting Stevens. The plan was to have Stevens rescued safe and sound awarding Obama hero status just before Nov 6.. The country would have been held spellbound, Obama taking center stage having daily reports on the status of the rescue mission until just a few days before the election. Stevens would have been rescued produced in one piece intact. Obama, America’s hero riding in on his white horse taking credit for a daring rescue going into Election Day.

It all went bad when another group saw an opportunity to change the outcome foiling Obama’s plans. Changing a staged rescue into one of sorrow for the US and a vivid remembrance of their presence on the anniversary of the WTC 9/11 attack.

I also believe, Jarrett had a major hand in the responsibility for the Libyan massacre. Suddenly, she has been absent out of the limelight unavailable for questioning. As Obama’s consultant shouldn’t she answer to the investigation of the Libyan killings seeing she handles Obama’s daily Intel briefings?

I should add another thought to my above post:

Hillary hasn’t come before the committee as of yet. She hasn’t had her say about the timelines and what went on and how it came to be in Benghazi. Yet, there are loud mouths on Big Pink without hearing her side of the story and the facts she will provide accompanied with substantiating evidence in her testimony. Condemning Secretary Clinton as ‘guilty’ before we have had a chance to review the sequence of events as told by her to the commission is absolute hypocrisy of the first order and guilty of spreading false rumors, smearing someone’s name, when you have nothing but supposition to point to.

I have to ask, why are these people even posting there in her Living Room? Do not rational people withhold judgement until all the facts are in when the investigation is concluded?

It’s a sickening thing to read. When I was one of the first to sign up at His44 because I believed in Hillary and still do. Well, I guess when disparaging ill reasoned comments start showing up backed by other bloggers negative opinions, it demonstrates who you can count on when the going gets tough… the turn coats easily turned with supposition, spin themselves into the ground while stabbing you in the back and never stop promoting something they know nothing about.

It easy to condemn when you don’t know all the facts. It’s harder to have faith in people you’ve known and watched for years when their values and predictability match your own.

That last line tells me the people bad mouthing Hillary have problems with their own integrity, projecting their mistaken decisions on people who have an absolute understanding of right from wrong and have suffered on more occasions for refusing to have their integrity compromised.

I’ve bet on Hillary every time and never lost a bet because I know who she is and what she stands for..
Naysayers- TAKE A HIKE- you don’t belong on Big Pink if you don’t believe in Hillary go where your taunting comments will be received with open arms.. Suggest, the BIG ZERO’s Camp…

Yes, I remember that now. It is what the writer of the Lame Cherry blog had indicated. Obama was to be the hero when Ambassador Stevens was rescued from the bad guys, and he would then obtain a corresponding bump in the polls which he would use to ride to victory on November 6th. It is a plausible explanation. I think that I had mentioned the Lame Cherry article here when it first came out, and thought her scenario to be likely. I guess we will have to hear from Hillary on this, and I hope that she divulges what she knows very soon. Thanks for the reminder. I still think that she currently has the stench of Obama wafting around her because this incident IS a cover up, and without Hillary’s testimony, she’s being attached to Obama on this one. I hope the truth is realized asap. It may be the final nail in Obama’s coffin.

I wonder if HRC’s statement after the Benghazzi attack – something to the effect of how could the Libyans do that – they had a deal (paraphrasing) isn’t a tell about the facts of the case.

Maybe the POS set something up and kept HRC out of the loop about the REAL goal – a false flag hostage situation. Maybe HRC was “hoodwinked” and lied to – wonder if that’s why the SD is now throwing the admin under the bus.

Of course if she wasn’t aware, that’s a problem, the same way her apparent ignorance of Solis-Doyle’s backstabbing and Mark Penn’s possible collusion was a problem. But I do NOT think she would have ever gone along with a false flag scenario which endangered a US ambassador and other Americans.

And I remembered reading LC before you mentioned it.. but appreciated the hint. Another thing, LC mentioned at the same time. The Seal Team had been alerted and was enroute to Benghazi, (apparently out of the blue?) One of the Seals reportedly heard about the protest turning into a full fledged assault on the temporary safe house where Stevens had been taken.. via (radio? cell-ph?) and called off the mission ( intimating something was amiss) and returned to base.

So, there are still others who have knowledge of the events, questions to be answered and evidence to document framing the order of who did what, where, when and why for this unfortunate event.

The fact that Hillary has remained silent, knowing her thought process *as I think I do*- She holds the Smoking Gun which will blow this thing wide open after all the people involved have their say. { imo- of course..} :-)

Disgraceful on so many levels, should be stripped of polling licence and shunned as a pollster.

Stunning PPP poll asks if conservative media wants white people to think Obama hates them

The Democratic-leaning polling outfit Public Policy Polling is pushing the stunning notion that media figures like Sean Hannity, Matt Drudge and Tucker Carlson want white people to think President Barack Obama hates them.

“Do you think conservative media figures want to make white people think Barack Obama hates them, or not?” PPP asked in a recent Wisconsin poll this month, according to results first published by Washington Post blogger Jennifer Rubin.

The question came after the outfit asked respondents if Obama hates white people and whether they have a favorable or unfavorable impression of the Drudge Report, Sean Hannity of Fox News and Tucker Carlson of The Daily Caller.

PPP pollster Tom Jensen told The Daily Caller Thursday that the poll was put in the field in response to The Daily Caller’s much-publicized video last week of Obama discussing race and Hurricane Katrina in 2007.

“Many people felt that the Daily Caller’s intent last week, along with Sean Hannity and the Drudge Report, in trying to make news out of a 5 year old video was to stir racial resentment among white voters against Barack Obama,” Jensen said in the email. “We were just polling on a topic in the news last week- one in fact that your own organization tried to make into news.”

He denied that the survey amounted to a push poll, where the questions are asked in an attempt to sway the view of respondents.

“Polling on something that received a large amount of media attention last week is not a push poll,” Jensen told TheDC.

On his radio show Thursday, Hannity said of the survey: “That is a sick question if you ask me.”

“They’re acting as advocates,” Carlson said on Hannity’s show. “They are an adjunct to the Obama campaign.”

In her story, Rubin wrote that every independent and Republican pollster she spoke to about the survey were “shocked” by the questions. One independent pollster called it “low rent” polling.

“I am just taken aback that a respectable polling firm would even ask a question like that,” one Republican pollster told Rubin.

According to the results, 13 percent of people surveyed in Wisconsin think Obama hates white people. Seventy-one percent do not think that, and 15 percent are not sure.

Twenty-nine percent think conservative media figures want white people to think Obama hates them, while 51 percent think they do not. Twenty percent, according to the poll, said they are not sure.

On Twitter, Jensen elaborated on the poll and said no one paid them for the survey. “Just things we [we're] interested in internally,” he wrote.

POLL ALERT: Romney up 7 in Florida, per Mason-Dixon

Times/Bay News 9/Herald exclusive Florida poll: Romney 51, Obama 44

Barack Obama’s lackluster debate performance last week has dramatically altered the presidential race in Florida, with Mitt Romney opening up a decisive 7 percentage point lead, according to a new Tampa Bay Times/Bay News 9/Miami Herald poll.

The survey conducted this week found 51 percent of likely Florida voters supporting Romney, 44 percent backing Obama and 4 percent undecided. That’s a major shift from a month ago when the same poll showed Obama leading 48 percent to 47 percent — and a direct result of what Obama himself called a “bad night” at the first debate.

The debate prompted 5 percent of previously undecided voters and 2 percent of Obama backers to move to Romney. Another 2 percent of Obama supporters said they are now undecided because of the debate.

“There’s no question in my mind that debate made people stand up and pay attention, and it really wiped away any questions people had about Romney, whether they were undecided or soft for Obama,” said Brad Coker of Mason-Dixon Polling & Research, which conducted the poll for the Times and its media partners.

Across the board, from who is better suited to improve the economy, to who will protect Medicare, to looking out for the middle-class, to handling foreign policy, likely Florida voters now favor the former Massachusetts governor over the president.

“It’s a very big shift since the debate, and where the shifts are taking place are very, very interesting because they are the types of shifts you see in Florida when something starts to break one way or another,” said Coker, likening it to when Ronald Reagan shot past Jimmy Carter in 1980.

Take Tampa Bay, the battleground region that invariably mirrors statewide results. A month ago, Obama had a 4 percentage point lead in Tampa Bay. This week, Romney led by 8 percent, 52 to 44. In Central Florida, Romney now leads by 6 points.

Likewise, Obama’s lead among likely women voters in Florida fell from 15 percentage points last month to just 2 points, 49 percent for Obama and 47 percent for Romney.

Obama’s once 11 point lead among likely independent voters had cascaded into a 13 point lead for Romney this week, 52 percent to 39 percent.

The poll found little change among Florida youngest voters, 18-34, or oldest voters, 65 and up. But those ages 35 to 64, who had been evenly divided a month ago, moved dramatically to the Republican nominee. Romney now has a nine point lead among voters age 35-49 and a 15 point lead among those between 50 and 64.

Especially ominous were the numbers for Hispanic voters, a demographic where the Obama campaign is banking on an advantage of at least 15 percentage points. The poll showed 44 percent of likely Hispanic voters favoring Obama and 46 for Romney, though the margin of error is higher with that smaller group of voters.

“We ran away from other countries in search of a more traditional United States,” said Coral Gables resident Mary Gonzalez, who immigrated from Venezuela. “I think with the current president, the United States moves to (the left). And with Romney, I believe he can return the United States to its traditional course.”

The bottom line? Obama appears to be in serious trouble in America’s biggest battleground state. He has two debates and 25 days to turn it around, but the poll points to a race that had been close and stable for months shifting significantly toward the Republican nominee.
