Obama does little helping distressed Americans losing their Homes…
Obama caves-in under pressure from Bank Lobbyists
“A deal struck this past Tuesday between Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and more than two dozen mortgage companies. The two sides agreed to set the goal of adjusting 500,000 loans by Nov. 1.
But it was far from clear whether that would happen.
Loan servicers say they are still trying to play catch up to a deluge of customer requests by hiring and training thousands of new employees. Banks also are trying to sort through which customers face a legitimate financial hardship.
Also, many loans have been bundled and sold to investors as securities, complicating efforts to modify the terms.Congress tried earlier this spring to pass legislation that would give people a chance to keep their homes by filing for bankruptcy.
while President Barack Obama said he supported the measure, he did little to see it through
and it was defeated amid an aggressive lobbying effort by banks. The measure failed in the Senate by a 45-51 vote, falling 15 votes short of the 60 needed to overcome procedural hurdles”.
Isn’t Obama’s failure to see legislation through that would essentially HELP struggling homeowners keep their homes becoming problematic with every program he claims to support for Americans? Who is his allegiance to; Americans or Bank Cororporations
Just today, it was reported GM is sending their auto manufacturing jobs overseas to Brazil. There goes the jobs Obama promised that could have helped Americans…
General Motors announces $1 billion plan to build more vehicles in Brazil
“General Motors is spending more money where it helps GM; NOT Americans.”
The Latin American market has been generous to the struggling automaker despite struggles at home. Today, GM announced a $1 billion plan to expand its vehicle lineup in Brazil.
“We believe the Brazilian market will be very strong, will continue to grow at a rate of at least 5 percent a year and we also believe in the prospects for exports of the new models,” Jaime Ardila, GM’s chief executive for Brazil and the Mercosur region of South America, said in a statement.
Ardila added that GM showed record profits in Brazil in 2008 despite an global economic slowdown.
Reuters reports that GM will build two new compact models and expand operations at its Gravitai factory in the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul. The two new compacts could also be exported to African countries and other places, boosting GM’s presence elsewhere.
The $1 billion investment is part of a larger spending plan across Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay that began in 2007.
Michelle Malkin speaks Truth to Power in her new book. Condemns Michelle Obama as a racist as well. I happen to wholeheartedly agree with her assessment of 2 people that should never have been living in “our” White House to begin with. They didn’t Win it… They nicked it!! ( British colloquialism for STOLE/stolen )
