Brzezinski: ‘Global Political Awakening’ Making Syrian War Difficult.

During a short interview with Germany’s DW News last Monday, former US National Security Adviser and Trilateral Commission co-founder Zbigniew Brzezinski commented on the growing inefficiency of war due to the increased political knowledge of the public.

“Given the contemporary reality of what I have called in my writings ‘Global Political Awakening,’ a policy of force based primarily on Western and in some cases former colonial powers does not seem to me a very promising avenue to an eventual solution to the regional problem,” said Brzezinski, referring to the situation in Syria.

Despite Brzezinski’s noted long-term relationship with Obama which included a top foreign policy adviser position, Brzezinski denied any specific knowledge of his plans regarding Syria, saying that if the administration has a strategy, it’s a “very well-kept secret.”

Obama’s Middle Eastern strategy has been a mere continuation of the policies seen under Bush, exemplified by former four star general and NATO commander Wesley Clark’s admission of the Bush-era Pentagon plan to overthrow several countries including Libya and Syria.

Although Brzezinski at times attempts to appear opposed to military interventionism, President Obama’s actions in Syria, which include the support of admitted Al Qaeda fighters, closely mirrors several of Brzezinski’s previous policies, most notably the opposition to the Soviet Union in 1979, where decisions made by Brzezinski led to the creation of Al Qaeda through the CIA funding of the Afghan Mujaheddin.

Brzezinski’s call of warning to the “global political awakening” has only intensified in recent years. Last year during a speech in Poland, Brzezinski noted that it has become “increasingly difficult to suppress” and control the “persistent and highly motivated populist resistance of politically awakened and historically resentful peoples.”

Brzezinski also blamed the accessibility of “radio, television and the Internet” for the “universal awakening of mass political consciousness.“[The] major world powers, new and old, also face a novel reality: while the lethality of their military might is greater than ever, their capacity to impose control over the politically awakened masses of the world is at a historic low.

“To put it bluntly: in earlier times, it was easier to control one million people than to physically kill one million people; today, it is infinitely easier to kill one million people than to control one million people,”

said Brzezinski during a 2010 (video) at a Council on Foreign Relations speech in Montreal.

Despite attempts by both the Republican and Democratic leadership to gain support for a war in Syria, a new Reuters poll revealed that only 9 percent of Americans support military intervention in Syria. If the United States intervenes, it will be the least popular war in American history.

The massive and growing evidence forced out by the alternative media, which points to a US backed chemical attack by Al Qaeda led rebel forces to be blamed on Assad, has only accelerated the inevitable downfall of the corporate press that is now only trusted by 23 percent of the public.

And if you care to know where and how the Brzezinski Brain Trust plans on taking US; read here for a good piece of information framing the drama:

Breaking news: Rebels admit gas attack result of mishandling chemical weapons

    Joseph ParkerDothan Christianity Examiner

    August 30, 2013

In a report that is sure to be considered blockbuster news, the rebels told Mint Press Reporter Yahya Ababneh they are responsible for the chemical attack last week.

This news should deflate the accusations, against the Assad regime, coming from the U.S., Britain, France and the Arab League.

Since the chemical attacks last week, the Assad government was immediately blamed. On Monday, Secretary of State John Kerry said: That Assad’s guilt was “a judgment already clear to the world,” according to

As a result of Assad’s government being blamed for the chemical attacks, five U.S. warships are now stationed off Syria’s coast. These destroyers are poised to deliver cruise missiles in a strike that is due to begin any time now. According to the report on Mint Press there have been several interviews conducted with people in Damascus and Ghouta, a suburb of the Syrian capital.

The interviews were conducted by Ababneh of residents, rebels and their families in Damascus and Ghouta are putting together a different picture of what happened. Many believe that rebels received chemical weapons provided through the Saudi intelligence chief, Prince Bandar bin Sultan. It’s being reported that these weapons are responsible for last week’s gas attack.

The father of a rebel who was killed in what’s now being called an accident by many in Ghouta and Damascus said: “My son came to me two weeks ago asking what I thought the weapons were that he had been asked to carry,” said Abu Abdel-Moneim. The father said at least 12 rebels including his son were killed by the chemical weapons.

Allegedly they were killed in the tunnel that was used to store the chemicals. These were provided by a Saudi militant, known as Abu Ayesha. He is said to be leading a fighting battalion in the effort to unseat Assad. The weapon was described as a “tube-like structure” by Abdel-Moneim.

Ababneh reports that the rebels said the gas “attack” was the result of them mishandling the chemical weapons they acquired from the Saudis. She says in the Mint Press report the following:

“They didn’t tell us what these arms were or how to use them,” complained a female fighter named ‘K.’ “We didn’t know they were chemical weapons. We never imagined they were chemical weapons.”

When Saudi Prince Bandar gives such weapons to people, he must give them to those who know how to handle and use them,” she warned. She, like other Syrians, do not want to use their full names for fear of retribution.”

Ababneh continues in her report: “A well-known rebel leader in Ghouta named ‘J’ agreed. “Jabhat al-Nusra militants do not cooperate with other rebels, except with fighting on the ground. They do not share secret information. They merely used some ordinary rebels to carry and operate this material.

We were very curious about these arms. And unfortunately, some of the fighters handled the weapons improperly and set off the explosions, ‘J’ said.”

The humanitarian agency, Doctors Without Borders, reported that around 355 people had died from what was believed to be a neurotoxic agent. They reportedly treated 3,600 people with symptoms of, frothing at the mouth, respiratory distress, convulsions and blurry vision.

According to the report dozens of rebels said they were receiving salaries from the Saudis.

It’s said that Bandar was educated in the U.S. both military and collegiate. He is also said to have “served as a highly influential Saudi Ambassador to the U.S., and the CIA totally loves this guy.”

Prince Bandar’s intelligence agency is said to have been the first to bring allegations that Assad’s regime used Sarin gas in Feb.

Report: Syrian Rebels Obtained Nerve Gas Weapons Months Ago…

A report via the Turkish Weekly in June of 2013 outlines how Russia called for further information on Syrian rebels transporting a canister of lethal Sarin gas that Russian authorities feared might be used to push an international action against the Syrian government. The question that now must be asked, is where did those Syrian rebels obtain this deadly nerve gas, and why has the Obama administration said NOTHING about it as it now calls for a military strike against the Assad regime?

    (via Turkish Weekly)

Russia asks Turkey for info on sarin terrorists

Russia has called on Turkey to share its findings in the case of Syrian rebels who were seized on the Turkish-Syrian border with a 2kg cylinder full of nerve gas sarin.

Russia’s top foreign official Sergei Lavrov tolday said the Kremlin wanted to get clear on the issue of chemical weapons used in Syria, since the allegation had taken on the role of a trading card in the conflict, becoming a focus of constant provocations.

“I do not rule out that some force may want to use it [the rumour] to say that the “red line” has been crossed and a foreign intervention is needed,” the minister said.

“We are still waiting on a comprehensive report from our Turkish colleagues,” he added, citing the incident when a gang of terrorists carrying a canister with nerve gas sarin was arrested inside the Turkish territory about two weeks ago.

Moscow calls to pick side in Syria conflict

Russia’s chief of foreign affairs has urged the international community to finally take its pick and decide whether it is going to side with forces set to topple the Syrian regime or with the ones calling for a nationwide dialogue on Syrian peace.

Speaking at a press conference, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said: “We want that… the international community took off the blinders that make its focus on its immediate urge to overthrow one leader, then unseat another one, while turning a blind eye on the outcome of these actions.”

“Whatever has been happening during this ‘Arab Spring,’ it is clear now that these events are closely connected, so it is important to choose who you are siding with… with those who want to cut the knot without looking back at the suffering nation – or with those who want to solve this problem though dialogue,” Mr. Lavrov said.

Russia urges prompt inquiry into chemical arms use in Syria – Lavrov
All of the possible instances of chemical weapons use in Syria should be established as soon as possible, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

“I would like to support Guido [German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle] regarding the need to urgently establish all of the facts linked to reports about the possible use of chemical weapons by the sides,” Lavrov said at a press conference in the Kaliningrad region on Thursday.

A serious mistake was made when the Syrian government’s request to investigate the possible use of chemical toxic substances in the city of Aleppo on March 19 was left without any response, but unlimited and unhindered access to any facility on Syrian territory was demanded instead, the Russian minister said.

All opposition groups in Syria should be able to be involved in reaching compromise – Lavrov

Russia insists that all structures related to the settlement of the situation in Syria should take part in the international conference on Syria, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

“All structures should be present at that conference. That applies not only to the national coalition, which has so far failed to take a constructive stance in the conference. That also applies to those opposition structures that do not want to be present at the Geneva conference if it is called under the ‘umbrella’ of the national coalition,” Lavrov told a press conference on Thursday.

Among the organization that want to take an independent part in the conference are the National Coordination Committee and the Syrian Kurds, he said.

“We believe all opposition structures in Syria should be given an opportunity to communicate their viewpoint and participate in the achievement of a compromise, which will ensure peace, stability, ad equal rights for all ethnic and religious groups in the country,” Lavrov said.

Russia vows to bring Iran to Syria parley amid Western criticism

Russia is set to push for Iranian presence at the planned Syria conference, dubbed Geneva II, in Switzerland, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Thursday.

Mr. Lavrov stressed Moscow was intent on bringing all countries who can influence the parley to the negotiating table. And one of those world powers is Tehran, he pointed out.

The West has met this motion with a great deal of resentment. “At the current stage our partners have been quite outspoken and critical about Iran’s participation,” Sergei Lavrov said at a briefing today. “We think they are mistaken,” he added.

The Russian foreign minister vowed that Russia “will keep pressing for including all influential parties in the conference.”

(As we puzzle out all the conflicting reports, we go back to the beginning…the **unrefuted** fact (corrected Sept 3rd) Ambassador Stevens met with the Turkish diplomat one hour before the attack on Benghazi began.. my emphasis)

“I will again point to a very interesting connection between the Muslim Brotherhood affiliated Turkish government and the death of four Americans during the Benghazi Massacre. This connection becomes even more troubling with this report of Sarin gas being transported from Turkey to Syria by rebel forces that the Obama administration has repeatedly called for full support of.

The last known government official to meet with murdered U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens was a representative of the Turkish government, who met with Stevens at the Benghazi compound just ONE HOUR before the attack that killed Ambassador Stevens was initiated.

Later reports indicate hundreds of surface to air missiles went missing from Benghazi weapons storage. IS IT SO inconceivable that Sarin gas was also transported from Benghazi, to Turkey, and then to Syria to be used by already radicalized Islamic rebels?

Even more troubling then is the possibility the Obama administration helped to facilitate this very scenario?… -UM

Exclusive: Obama Refused to Send Gas Masks to Syrian Opposition for Over a Year

by Josh Rogin Aug 29, 2013

Syrian opposition groups have been asking for gas masks and chemical-weapons protection gear for more than a year—and the Obama administration decided not to supply them, Josh Rogin reports exclusively.

The Obama administration has refused to send gas masks and other chemical-weapons protection gear to Syrian opposition groups, despite numerous requests dating back more than a year and until the reported chemical-weapons attack that struck the Damascus suburbs August 21.

(How does this square up when Obama is supporting the opposition groups?)

Their (WH) ridiculous response was this:

“A senior Obama administration official confirmed to The Daily Beast on Wednesday that the White House did review the issue last year and determined it wouldn’t provide any gas masks or other chemical-weapons protective gear to the Syria opposition because of fears the equipment could get into the wrong hands.”

“The provision of protective gear for the opposition sounds like an easy idea, but we need consider the potential for misuse as well,” the official said. “Such equipment requires proper training to be effective, and we need to be careful about how and to whom we provide it.”

OBAMA publicly praises a radical Muslim Brotherhood front group in America – ISNA

As we know, Brezinski has been pushing for War with Russia the minute Obama took office. Just today, there have been disturbing rumblings of news leaking out concerning Nuclear War Heads moving from the West covertly being positioned on the East Coast (supposedly somewhere in the Carolinas) but who knows may be closer to DC.) That in fact, the rush to missile strikes in Syria is actually a False Flag, a pretext to a proxy War with Russia. I do not understand the sense of this if this is the underlying intention of the Obama administration. If this is Obama’s end game.. what will be the end game for the citizens of the US after SOS Kerry announced today, the Saudis will be financing the War for the US with our US military aiding al Caeda Syrian rebels in deposing Assad in Syria . The WTC anniversary is quickly approaching. (next Wednesday) Will this be the next wound inflicted on our country throwing us into total chaos destroying once and for all, the America we once knew?

We all need to pay attention here.. and if there is any truth to this video people are going to have to unite and take a stand.. to stop this insanity!

Here is a video discussing these revelations…

Morsi-Obama Backers Terrorize Christians in Egyptian Town

While the United Nations worries about a local shooting in Florida, in Egypt a group of Islamists who back their nation’s ousted leader, fellow Islamist Mohammed Morsi, have taken over the town of Dalga where 20,000 Christians now live under oppression, fear, and violence. Already, a 1600-year-old monastery has been burned and looted, and 40 Christian homes and businesses have been attacked (looted and burned), including the home of an 80 year-old priest:

Armed men can be seen in the streets, and nearly every day Islamists hold rallies at a stage outside the police station, demanding Morsi’s reinstatement.

Most Christians remain indoors as much as possible, particularly during the rallies. They say they are routinely insulted on the streets by Muslims, including children. Christian women stay home at all times, fearing harassment by the Islamists, according to multiple Christians who spoke to the AP. Most requested that their names not be published for fear of reprisals.

“The Copts in Dalga live in utter humiliation,” said local rights activist Ezzat Ibrahim. “They live in horror and cannot lead normal lives.”

None of the town’s churches held Mass for a month, until Wednesday, when one was held in one of the monastery’s two churches. About 25 attended, down from the usual 500 or more.

“They don’t want to see any Christian with any power, no matter how modest,” Yoannis said of the hard-liners now running Dalga. “They only want to see us poor without money, a trade or a business to be proud of.”

President Obama’s rush to “stabilize” Egypt by calling for the ouster of longtime leader Hosni Mubarak and immediate elections afterward is widely seen as a crucial factor in bringing Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood to electoral power. Almost immediately, Morsi attempted to seize dictatorial power by upending the Egyptian constitution. The military responded with a coup and now the nation’s minority Christian communities are being victimized in this power vacuum.

But the Conmmunity Organizer won’t call it a ‘coup’… well, because Morsi just made a little mistake.

Has Hillary Clinton Lost Her Mind?

I guess she is NOT going to run choosing to stand with Obama instead of US. Obama will support Elizabeth Warren for the first female president. They started openly supporting her today. No matter what deals you made priviously with Obama, you should not be surprised. Solis Dole, “gotcha” in 08′. Now the King has the same satisfaction of making his day years ahead of time.

Obama Lies with impunity especially to people he hates the most. That would be, you and Bill. As a couple, you are a powerhouse. Alone, you become another victim of the Obama assassination squad.

Hillary Rodham Clinton will use a previously scheduled visit to the White House on Monday as an opportunity to comment on the crisis in Syria, a topic she has quietly advised government officials on, but has avoided speaking publicly about.

Both Mrs. Clinton and her daughter, Chelsea, will attend a White House event on Monday to discuss wildlife trafficking, a topic that the former secretary of state has adopted as part of an array of charitable causes. But the visit will also serve as an opportunity for Mrs. Clinton to reinforce her support for President Obama’s decision to strike Syria and urge lawmakers to authorize at the move.

Last week, a Clinton aide released a statement saying “Secretary Clinton supports the president’s effort to enlist the Congress in pursuing a strong and targeted response to the Assad regime’s horrific use of chemical weapons.”

Although she has not made public statements about Syria, Mrs. Clinton has been in close contact with White House officials, said one person with knowledge of those discussions who could not discuss private conversations for attribution.

“She’s mindful of letting her successor do his job the same way her predecessor let her do her job,” this person said.

The topic also could prove a political minefield as Mrs. Clinton contemplates another run at the presidency, political pundits say. The White House has not asked Mrs. Clinton to personally reach out to lawmakers or make televised appearances in support of Mr. Obama’s decision, said two people with knowledge of the matter.

Mrs. Clinton is also expected to briefly address the Syria strike in her remarks in Philadelphia on Tuesday when Jeb Bush, the former Republican governor of Florida who is also a potential 2016 presidential candidate, presents her with the National Constitution Center’s Liberty Medal award.
As part of her paid speaking circuit, Mrs. Clinton–who earns roughly $200,000 per speech–will also deliver remarks on Monday at a gathering of investors at the Carlyle Group.

White House dismisses Assad retaliation threat

The White House on Monday shrugged off Syrian President Bashar Assad’s thinly veiled threat of retaliation if the United States goes ahead with military strikes against his country.

Assad told CBS news that there will be “repercussions” for any American attack, ominously warning “you should expect everything.”

Asked about those comments, Deputy U.S. National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes told Yahoo News “it’s not in his interest to escalate with the United States, because that only invites greater risk to him.”

But what about the 1988 Lockerbie bombing? Agents of Libyan strongman Moammar Gadhafi were convicted of that attack, which came not quite three years after American warplanes struck Tripoli. And Syria has been a regular on the State Department’s list of state sponsors of terrorism since 1979. Is that a concern?

“We’re prepared for every contingency,” Rhodes replied, before repeating: “It’s not in his interest to escalate. That would only invite greater risk for him.”–135220624.html

    from the comment section:

“Our enemies are killing our enemies. And we want to stop this why? ”

“How dare he threaten to retaliate if we attack him? Doesn’t he know the proper response to a US bombing is “thank you sir, may I have another?” Our hubris sometimes astounds me.”

“If they should fear anything, it should be the retaliation of the American people if the administration approves bombing Syria while a vast majority of the people in this country disapprove of it.” (82% disapprove – 8% approve – 10% don’t know)

“Just like they dismiss the will of the American People? LOL” (exactly!)

“I sent this letter to 2 US Senators & 1 Congressional rep. today:

This is in reference to my message to you on the same subject dated September 5, 2013. After listening to all the administration’s compelling arguments for striking Syria, I remain both unconvinced and dead set against it. In fact, I am concerned that all the hoopla about Syria is intended only to distract the US from serious domestic issues related to the Obama Administration.

The Benghazi scandal, the IRS scandal, the NSA scandal, and the Fast & Furious scandal are all being swept under the rug while the administration grandstands on an issue that is only intended to distract us and delay action on the real issues. They know the Congress will never vote in favor of striking Syria. But the Syria issue is buying them time to hide the evidence of their complicity in the deaths of Ambassador Stevens. This reflects badly on YOU!

With respect to the Benghazi scandal, the American people want to know why Obama & Secretary Clinton did nothing to help our people in Benghazi. We want to know why Ambassador Stevens & the CIA were funneling heavy weapons from Benghazi to the Syrian rebels. We want to know why the terrorists who struck the US mission in Benghazi said that Mr. Morsi sent them. We want to know why the USA was bribing numerous Muslim Brotherhood officials in Egypt. We want to know who in the administration made up the Benghazi cover story related to an anti-Muslim YouTube video. We want people fired for lack of action, inept leadership and possible ties to terrorists!

With respect to the IRS scandal, we want to know who in the White House directed the IRS actions against Tea Party Patriots and used the power of the IRS to steal the 2012 election!

With respect to the NSA scandal, we want to know if the White House manipulated the NSA to achieve political ends, such as the Supreme Court decision on Obamacare, and the firing of General Petreaus (and his unfounded agreement with a strike on Syria), just to name a few.

Get off your duffs and do your job!!!!! ( just to name a few of Obama’s policies not in America’s best interest. Hillary supports this? )

Hillary may be intelligent but she has lost her way.. she needs to take a course in
“Streetwise 101” and a refresher in “Loyalty to the People”… Until then, I’m out and will retire my avatar!
