Lately you may have noticed our Right to Free Speech is stifled no matter where we go.. the website we once saw as an oasis of Freedom of Expression generating new ideas for discussion hopefully coming to positive resolutions is now caught up in it’s own inner struggle … PARTY or COUNTRY!

This is a new Blog meant to foster something we are aching to do…speak our minds openly and freely with the civility and respect due each other sharing a common cause, the protecting of our right to do so in a common bond of democracy in spite of what “the party” wants.

Many PUMAs barely over the loss of Election2000 are facing sort of a deje vue with a twist, the 2008 Democratic Nominations. When in our wildest dreams did we ever think we were in danger of having our votes disenfranchised and trampled upon by the very same people we worked so hard to elect to attain a Democratic Majority in Congress? Our Party, the Democratic Party we once knew as a fair and just political system has lost it’s way.

Thanks to the rallying cries of Darragh Murphy’s PUMApac, Will Bower’s, Just Say No Deal, Sherri Tag’s NO WE WON’T Blog Radio Show and Riverdaughter’s, Confluence, the “First Responders” were there, stepping in after seeing our Democracy heading for the abyss, The POINT OF NO RETURN.

The Action Plan for PUMAS is:

1.) Dissociate yourself from the party. Tell them you will not be a party to its self destructive behavior.

2.) Reflect on your values. Read the credo at the top of this site and create at better one. Keep the language general and inclusive. Concentrate on universal truths and beliefs. Avoid wordsmithing.

3.) Stick together. We are powerful as a unit if we do not fall victim to the psychological warfare that is about to be directed at us. Turn off the media. Avoid conversations with trolls. Stand firm and do not yield.

4.) PUMA PAC nor PUMAS UNLEASHED is not working toward active support of or the election of McCain/Palin.

5.)All viewpoints are welcom especially for respectful and fair treatment of Women’s Rights. I’m here for democracy and NOBAMA, not McCainGain.

6.) I believe we STILL have a stronger mission – using FACT to knock Obama out of this election and bring down the power brokers at the DNC.We’ve done it before, we can do it again. We can keep doing it until what’s broken is fixed.

7.)One can still be a PUMA and fight for Democracy even if they will personally support McCain in November. Many PUMAs will do that. But the choices we each have in that respect are boundless. We are still tied by NOBAMA, are we not? I feel we need to be inclusive of ALL the choices and not just voting the Republican ticket.

8.)I don’t know who I’ll support, if anyone. I do feel a bit uncomfortable on here with all the Republican discussion. I am NOT a republican. I am a conservative DEMOCRAT and I’ll be DAMNED if I will sit back for another 4 years and watch the Dem Party ground into insignificance due to shoddy management and shady people.

I have editorialized points 4 through 8 as an addendum to the mission of PUMApac and PUMAS UNLEASHED.

Saw your post at my blog so I came here to look around. Thanks for the invite.

I almost always start at a blogs “ABOUT” page because it gives you an idea of what to expect. While reading this page, something got my interest. You wrote…“This is a new Blog meant to foster something we are aching to do…speak our minds openly and freely with the civility and respect due each other sharing a common cause, the protecting of our right to do so in a common bond of democracy in spite of what “the party” wants.”

Speaking our minds may well be a thing of the past with our incoming administration. Instead of me going on about it, I suggest you read this from another blogger, but on my site…

Once again, thanks for the invite!

I noticed your comment to one of mine at Brenda’s RBO2, so I came here to check out your site. Love it, especially this page on our right to dissent! Please consider spreading the word on The Reparation Agenda series I’ve been working on and posting to RBO2. It talks about the intent of Obama to place the U.S. under international law so that reparation to African Americans can be achieved. We should all scream louder and louder as this election draws near. He must go!
