Questions Now Turn To WHY Obama White House LIED About Muslim Embassy Attacks

September 22, 2012

While the level of questioning has not reached outrage quite yet (though it certainly should) more in the media are now asking why the Obama administration – including the president himself,  repeatedly told a tale so easily proven false regarding the fatal attacks against Americans in the Middle East.

EXCERPT:

Permanent Spin

For nine days, the Obama administration made a case that virtually everyone understood was untrue: that the killing of our ambassador and three other Americans in Benghazi, Libya, was a random, spontaneous act of individuals upset about an online video—an unpredictable attack on a well-protected compound that had nothing do to with the eleventh anniversary of 9/11.
…White House press secretary Jay Carney not only denied that the attacks had anything to do with the anniversary of 9/11 but scolded reporters who, citing the administration’s own pre-9/11 boasts about its security preparations for the anniversary, made the connection. “I think that you’re conveniently conflating two things,” Carney snapped, “which is the anniversary of 9/11 and the incidents that took place, which are under investigation.”
Wrong, wrong, wrong, and wrong. Intelligence officials understood immediately that the attacks took place on 9/11 for a reason. The ambassador, in a country that faces a growing al Qaeda threat, had virtually no security. The two contractors killed in the attacks were not part of the ambassador’s security detail, and there were not, in fact, “many other colleagues” working security with them.

So we are left with this: Four Americans were killed in a premeditated terrorist attack on the eleventh anniversary of 9/11, and for more than a week the Obama administration misled the country about what happened.

“This isn’t just a problem. It’s a scandal”.

Paulson: Why Did The White House Take So Long To Admit Libya Attack Was Terrorism?

by Scott Paulson

After the deadly attack on the United States Embassy in Libya, it was apparent to many that the attack was premeditated and designed to kill Americans – not to protest an amateur-made movie that mocked Islam and disrespected Mohammad. The militant 9-11 attackers totally achieved their goal by leaving the United States Embassy in shambles with charred and blood-stained walls as well as a trail of death.

Yet the current administration in the United States government insisted otherwise. President Barack Obama, United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and White House Press Secretary Jay Carney led the way by denouncing those who dared state the obvious version of what had happened in Benghazi, Libya – that it was about terrorism and not about the anti-Mohammad film.

Finally, a week later, the obvious has been addressed by Jay Carney at the White House and Mathew Olsen, the director of the National Counter-terrorism Center, who both now admit that the deadly acts against United States Ambassador to Libya Christopher Steven and three other Americans were indeed an act of terrorism, obviously committed on 9-11.

With Americans watching the nearing of the date September 11, 2012 on the calendar for weeks – if not months – and dreading the stark reality that something disastrous may happen to innocent Americans again, the president and his political cronies refused to believe what happened.

Yet Americans are supposed to have faith in them, their judgment, trust their words and actions – and sit idly by as they denounce anyone who dares to try to challenge their words. Additionally, with extreme words, they denounce anyone who tries to challenge them for their power and positions. Unfortunately, in the past week, we have seen far too many Americans bow down to the blatant misspeaks or, perhaps, lies spoken by those in positions we have been able to dutifully trust in the past.

With this administration, we have seen far too many people trust in everything the political leaders say and do in Washington – without logical and discerned question. This is just plain foolish on the part of the blind followers.

More than what these national leaders and politicians are doing to Americans, consider what they are they telling the rest of the world – the rest of the world who figured out the nation was 9/11-attacked again as soon as it happened. Our leaders told the world that we are a nation led by either ignorance via doubt or by liars. Neither, of course, is an admirable trait to display when one claims to be “the” world leader. Beyond causing America to be embarrassed throughout the world, last week’s denial of what happened on 9/11/2012 makes us look incredibly weak.

Even the thought of blaming the anti-Islamic, Mohammad-disgracing movie for the most recent 9/11 attack on innocent Americans was ignorant – and carrying the thought out through words from the nation’s capital via our top leaders was incredibly inappropriate, totally embarrassing, extremely America-weakening, and – most of all – an ignorant stunt to try to pass on to America and the world.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney finally telling reporters a week after the incident, “It is, I think, self-evident that what happened in Benghazi was a terrorist attack,” is too little – far too late.

The goal now is for the United States and Libya to join political forces to bring the attackers to justice. This, of course, needs to be done swiftly and honorably in the name of the four fallen Americans.

Then, there needs to be a full investigation as to why those present in the attacked-United States Embassies weren’t forewarned of the attacks as evidence that there was prior knowledge of the attacks grows. LINK

Obama doesn’t have time to meet with the new Libyan president, but Bill does!

I hope Bill straightens Morsi out telling him he needs to learn to respect other people’s freedom that is a guaranteed right in America. That is why so many of his people and people from all over the world come here. I would love to be a fly on the wall listening to their conversation. Morsi had no trouble accepting our principles when he came here to be educated.

Breaking: White House Knowingly Gave False Information to Media on Benghazi Terror Attack (Video)

    http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2012/09/breaking-white-house-knowingly-gave-false-information-to-media-on-benghazi-terror-attack-video/

The Obama White House knowingly gave false information on the Benghazi terrorist attack. The Obama Administration repeated to reporters that the consulate attack was the related to an offensive YouTube document but they privately were circulating a very different view on the murderous attack.
Catherine Herridge from FOX News reported:

“There was this private narrative you see in the intelligence community where they separate what happened in Libya from this YouTube clip and then you have this public narrative that you have from this administration. And I got a hold of this Homeland Security Assessment. It talks about the scope of the demonstrations in the first week after 9-11 and what’s interesting to me is that this intelligence document makes no mention of the YouTube clip. So again, that’s sort of the private narrative but the public narrative from this administration has been that the clip has really prompted the assault not only in Libya but elsewhere in the Middle East.”

Must be shocking for Obama to Learn, cult of personality isn’t enough for re-election.
    ……………………….

World No Longer Showing Obama the Love

People across the globe seemingly fell in love with President Barack Obama during his presidential campaign of 2008 and shortly afterward. But now that love affair is over.

In addition, there’s little evidence that his popularity overseas did anything to boost relations with our allies –— or our enemies, Politico reports.

“For conservatives, it’s a ‘Told you so’ moment, proving — as they believed all along — the notion that Obama could remake America’s image through the power of his personality was a fantasy,” the news service states.

“There was rapturous narcissism,” Kori Schake, a senior foreign policy adviser to Sen. John McCain during his 2008 presidential campaign, told Politico. “It was rapturously self-regarding to think that the change from President Bush to Obama would, all by itself, improve our standing.”

Actually, Obama’s election did improve our standing temporarily, she says. “And that disappeared as the result of his policies.”

Mitchell Reiss, a foreign policy adviser to 2012 GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney, says Obama has conducted foreign affairs with a scatter-shot approach.

“Essentially, American foreign policy was personalized,” Reiss, a State Department official in the George W. Bush administration, told Politico.

“I think what we’re finding now is that you actually need policy in order to promote American interests and values around the world. . . . You can’t simply rely on your own estimation of your own magical personality.”

CBS Doesn’t Air Obama Admitting Mistakes in Campaign Ads

    Weekly Standard ^ | September 23, 2012

Tonight, CBS aired a 60 Minutes interview with President Obama. But curiously enough, the news magazine show did not air a clip of Obama admitting to interviewer Steve Kroft that some of his campaign ads contain mistakes and that some even “go overboard.”

60 Minutes did, however, post the clip online:

CBS describes the clip this way: “President Obama says some of his campaign ads might ‘go overboard’ or contain mistakes, but most of them simply highlight the differences between him and Gov. Romney.”

“Look, the fact-checkers have had problems with the ads on both sides,” Kroft says to Obama in the unaired clip, “and say they’ve been misleading and in some cases just not true. Does that disturb you? I mean, some of them are your ads.”

Obama responds: “Do we see sometimes us going overboard in our campaign, are there mistakes that are made, areas where there is no doubt somebody could dispute how we are presenting things? You know, that happens in politics.”

Kroft responds: “Aren’t the American entitled to the truth? Or a better version of it?”

Why didn’t the State Department say this?

    Hot Air ^ | September 24, 2012 | Libby Sternberg

A Facebook friend of mine, someone I suspect is not of the same political persuasion as I am, recently posted a link to an article, “A Time for Introspection” an op/ed in the Express Tribune (of Pakistan) by Raza Rumi, director, Policy & Programmes, Jinnah Institute, Islamabad.

Though Rumi is no American cheerleader in the piece, he urges Muslims to look at their own actions before pointing the finger of blame at others for their troubles. One section dealing with so-called anti-Islam works:

Salman Rushdie’s book — Satanic Verses — sparked global outrage in the late 1980s and since then, we have increasing polarisation between those who view freedom of expression as an absolute value, and extremists within Muslims who think violence is the only way to ‘save’ Islam from such attacks. Millions of Muslims are trapped between the two ends of this hate-spectrum. Despite the offence caused by such provocation, they will not resort to violence or support wanton destruction of life and property. But are these voices represented and articulated through credible leadership? The answer is no…

Rumi takes some (to me) gratuitous swipes against America’s drone and missile attacks as well as the Palestinian situation, but then he does go on to say:

The ‘victimhood’ of Muslims is also quasi-mythical. The anti-imperial rants against the US and the West often ignore that there is little resistance to the imperialists within Islam. The imperialists within (monarchs, clerics and plunderers who exploit, suppress dissent and kill without a conscience) are within the reach of Muslims. The battle ‘within’ Islam — for reformation, ijtehad and liberation from patriarchal, violence-preaching clerics — is a far more serious one.

    And finally, he concludes with:

There is much that the Muslims need to introspect about before they take bombs and bullets to express their anger on cases of persecution and blasphemy.

It might just help if they were to focus on knowledge, organised political and economic resistance, reforming their societies and reining in the clerics who have no place in Islam to begin with. More importantly, before crying hoarse about the way the world is treating them, how about allowing Muslim women their due rights, enabling non-Muslim fellow citizens to receive the entitlements they deserve; and turning towards inquiry and reason?

It was refreshing to read Rumi’s piece, even if I disagreed with parts of it. But what was even more heartening were the 65 comments, or rather, one in particular. Comments ranged from the thoughtful to the argumentative to the extremist, with more than one commenter discussing Muslim violence against other Muslims.

Pasted below, however, is the comment that stood out to me. When I read it, I thought to myself: why isn’t our State Department articulating these thoughts instead of apologizing for obscure films? Why isn’t our president standing up for an American principle in this way? Why is it appearing in a comments section by an anonymous poster? I reproduce it with typos that appeared in the original:

    1. Just as Muslims believe that Quran is revealed by God, Americans believe that freedom of expression is an inalienable riht that flows to them from God and hence cannot be legislatd by a human.

    2. Freedom of worship (which also includes freedom to not worship) is seen as a subset of freedom of expression. It is thus unsurprising that in countries which includes most Muslim majority countries where freedom of expression is not absolute, the freedom of worship for people not of majority faith is also severely abridged.

    3. Freedom of expression is tested only during times of conflict. IT is not much of a freedom to say ” I love my mother and gaajar ka halwa”. USA does not prevent people from creating videos that offend Christians either. Please google ‘stand up comedians atheist’ and see what you come up with.

    4. Freedom of expression is an empowering tool that allowed ordinary Americans to fight powerful clergy whose oppression they escaped (refer Pilgrim Fathers). Today too it has allowed gay right activists to stand up to priests who totally are against homosexuality because it is against what is stated in Bible. The opposition to gays is high among right wing Christians and this also is a huge politicial issue – yet no one has been able to muzzle the rights of gays BECAUSE of freedom of expression.

    5. You have a right to be offended. You do not however have a right to ‘never be offended’. Thus a video that offends you does not violate your right.

    6. Finally while you have not mentioned it, someone is sure to bring up holocaust denial laws as one form of abridgment to freedom of expression. They should be aware that there are NO holocaust denial laws in USA.

    OT/

I didn’t watch the Emmys last night but was very happy to see one of my favorite actors, Aaron Paul, won for for Best Supporting Actor on the best series on tv, ‘Breaking Bad.’

    Aaron Paul

Aaron plays the fictional low brow assistant ‘cooker’ of methamphetamine, Jesse Pinkman. A former student, partnered in an odd couple arrangement with the snobbish Walter White’s (played by Bryan Cranston) expertise as a High School Chemistry teacher diagnosed with lung Cancer determined to leave his family well ‘fixed’ before he dies.

‘Breaking Bad,’ director Vince Gilligan, has the best collaborative of dialog writers in the business and the most exciting story lines reminiscent of the Hitchcock era mysteries that once you are hooked keep you wanting and waiting for the next episode to air.

If you enjoy surprises and intense mental stimulation, you can, as a Netflix member, watch all 4 seasons of Breaking Bad episodes (sans commercials) back to back live streaming on your PC or Laptop.

Hilarious Oh Uh, Elizabeth Warren may never have obtained her law license in Massachussetts, which means she has been illegally working for years.

DOES ELIZABETH WARREN HAVE A LAW LICENSE PROBLEM?

    http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/09/24/Does-Elizabeth-Warren-Have-a-Law-License-Problem

Elizabeth Warren, who is running for U.S. Senate from Massachusetts and has taught law in Massachusetts for nearly two decades, may never have obtained a license to practice law there, and may be unlicensed to practice anywhere at the moment, new evidence suggests.

The surprise issue to emerge from last Thursday’s Massachusetts Senate debate between incumbent Republican Senator Scott Brown and Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren was Brown’s charge that Warren’s legal work for Travelers Insurance put her squarely on the side of the “one percent” she has attacked so vigorously throughout her campaign.

The Boston Globe reported that Warren was paid $212,000 over three years from 2008 to 2010 for “of counsel” legal work for Travelers in a case that the company won when it reached the Supreme Court in 2009. Travelers’ attorneys persuaded the Court that their client did not have to pay a number of asbestos claims.
Now, as William Jacobson reports at Legal Insurrection, the Travelers Insurance issue may have legs.
Jacobson notes that, though Warren operated a law practice from her Cambridge office for more than a decade, she never obtained a license to practice law in Massachusetts.
Earlier in her career, Professor Warren was licensed to practice law in New Jersey, where she lived briefly after graduating from Rutgers School of Law in 1976, and Texas, where she lived from 1978 to 1987 while teaching at the University of Houston and University of Texas. In a 2008 resume, Professor Warren stated that she was a member of the Bar in both New Jersey and Texas. However, she is currently not listed as eligible to practice law in either state.
Breitbart News asked Jennifer Nash, the Communications Director at Simpson, Thacher, and Bartlett, the New York law firm that defended Travelers in its Supreme Court case and hired Professor Warren to act “of counsel” in their brief to the Court, to comment on Professor Jacobson’s story, but we have not received a response yet.
Specifically, we asked Ms. Nash if she could tell us in which state Professor Warren had beenlicensed to practice law when she provided legal services to Simpson, Thacher, and Bartlett and Travelers Insurance.

Jacobson reports that Warren voluntarily withdrew from the practice of law in the State of New Jersey on September 11, 2012. That tactic merely prevents anyone from finding out when her eligibility to practice law in New Jersey ended.

Jacobson concludes his carefully researched article by stating that if Warren was practicing law from her Cambridge office, she violated Massachusetts law:
“[T]here is no authority which exempts from the licensing requirements an attorney domiciled in Massachusetts using a Massachusetts office but who offers legal advice and services only to out-of-state clients and as to non-Massachusetts law.”
Jacobson notes that the Warren campaign has offered no comment on his report.
The Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers grants law licenses to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and enforces penalties against attorneys who violate its rules. Breitbart News left a voice mail message on Monday with Karen O’ Toole, Associate General Counsel at the Board of Bar Overseers for comment on whether the Board intends to investigate Ms. Warren’s conduct, but has not yet received a response.

This is New England my friend. Anything is possible in RI and MA if you are connected to the vast incestuous network of attorneys and gifted somewhere along the way as the holder of a Golden Ticket. Some of the possible excuses… “Warren did register in MA but for some unexplained reason her license was never recorded.” Or, something a little more funky.. yet plausible, “Somehow, Ms Warren’s recorded license was deleted in the computer during Hurricane Watchamacallit..”: We see no deliberate intent by Ms. Warren to defraud anyone due to this computer oversight.” If she is tight with Gov Patrick and/or AG Martha Coakley and return favors are owed… then this is an esoteric exercise in quid pro quo. .

It will be interesting hearing how this will be glossed over smooth a glass, as a clerical error and forgiven with an apoplectic apology by the State of MA.

Oh i think she is screwed…..

Speaking to Boston’s 96.9 FM radio program “Jim and Margery” on Monday, Democratic Senate challenger Elizabeth Warren admitted that she is not licensed to practice law in Massachusetts.
According to reports from listeners, she claimed that she does not maintain a law practice. She also “said that she gave up her New Jersey license because she could not keep up with the Continuing Education requirements,” according to one listener who commented on Breitbart’s Monday story, “Does Elizabeth Warren Have a Law License Problem?”.
Ms. Warren’s statement comes as a surprise to the many clients she’s provided legal services to over the past decade, including the law firm of Simpson, Thacher, and Bartlett, which listed her as “of counsel” in the 2009 brief they submitted to the United States Supreme Court on behalf of their client, Travelers Insurance.

Once Again Barack Obama Insults And Threatens Israel

    finger

The frosty relationship between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Barack Obama has been well documented. More pressing now is not only the ongoing threat of violence in the Middle East, but how Obama’s constant rebuke of the Israeli leader will impact the upcoming 2012 election. Will Jewish-American voters continue to forgive Barack Obama for his repeated insults to Israel?

Last night President Obama did it once again during an interview on CBS’s 60 Minutes program. When asked about the situation in the Middle East and the relationship between the United States and Israel, Obama gives a lukewarm response regarding the importance of the relationship between the United States and the Jewish nation, and then by the 1:10 mark he describes Israel as “ONE OF our closest allies in the region”. That statement begs the question as to who else in that region does Barack Obama consider as much of an ally to the United States as is Israel. Would it be the Iran? Palestine? Egypt?

Another point to note in this video is Barack Obama’s CURRENT assessment of the dangers of Iran – a direct contrast to his views of Iran just four years ago. It seems very likely the simplistic and sympathetic views Obama held FOR the Muslim world in 2008 has much to do with the chaos and dangers of that part of the world in 2012.

HERE IS HOW OBAMA DESCRIBED IRAN IN 2008 WHEN SAYING THEY WERE A “TINY” NATION AND NOT A THREAT AND AMERICA SHOULD SIMPLY TALK TO THEM. NOW HE INDICATES IRAN COULD INITIATE A GLOBAL NUCLEAR CRISIS AND IS A THREAT TO THE ENTIRE WORLD.
